Fooji Giveaway

Chad Powers, Hulu

Making limited assets work a little harder.

This started as a straightforward giveaway post for Chad Powers. I was given a small set of static product cutouts to build the creative around.

Motion layout, final version.

Midway through the project, Hulu asked for a more dynamic direction, so I teamed up with motion designer David Huynh and prepared the design for animation.

Static layout explore option B.

That's when we ran into a problem.

We only had two images of the giveaway ice chest: one with the lid closed, and another with the lid open but filled with alcohol, which we couldn't show on social.

Neither worked for what we needed, and there wasn't time for new photography.

Instead, I rebuild what was missing.

Ice chest B with AI-generated ice cubes.

For the closed ice chest (Ice Chest A), I generated an open lid with ChatGPT, then composited it onto the original product image in Photoshop. For the second image (Ice Chest B), I removed the alcohol and used Adobe Firefly to generate ice cubes to fill the empty space.

The generated pieces weren't treated as finished assets. I retouched and composited them with the original photography, matching the lighting, texture, and perspective until everything felt like it belonged together.

It gave the motion team the assets they needed without delaying the project or requiring another shoot.
